Santa Catalina professionals were recognized at the 6th National Conference for Physical Therapy Residents and Fellows (VI Jornadas Nacionales de Kinesiología de Residentes y Becarios) for their scientific presentation on stroke rehabilitation.

Rocío Gallegos, PT, and Mariana Espíndola, PT, members of Santa Catalina’s Neurorehabilitation team, received recognition for their scientific presentation at the 6th National Conference for Physical Therapy Residents and Fellows (VI Jornadas Nacionales de Kinesiología de Residentes y Becarios.)
From June 24 to 26, the School of Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) hosted the 6th National Conference for Physical Therapy Residents and Fellows, under the theme “Building Knowledge, Strengthening the Profession.”
The conference brought together physical therapy residents and fellows from across Argentina, with the support of leading professional and academic organizations, including AAK, SATI, UFLO University, and the University of Morón, among others.
Rocío Gallegos, PT, and Mariana Espíndola, PT were recognized in the Neurorehabilitation Poster Session for their research entitled: “Correlation Between Functional Gait Capacity and Balance in Patients with Stroke: A Retrospective, Longitudinal, and Analytical Study.”
Their research examined the relationship between functional gait capacity and balance in individuals recovering from stroke, contributing valuable clinical evidence to the field of neurorehabilitation.
This recognition reflects Santa Catalina’s commitment to the continuous professional development of its clinical teams and to active participation in scientific forums that advance the fields of physical therapy and neurorehabilitation in Argentina.
Participation in national scientific meetings is an essential part of Santa Catalina’s mission to promote knowledge generation, continuing education, and evidence-based clinical practice in neurorehabilitation.
